ただ、いわゆる招き猫、あるいはかわいらしい猫ではなく、日常の猫の姿を写し取り作品に転嫁している。
猫は自己主張の強いいきものだと思うのですが、その猫のうきうきした、またちょっともの悲しいような時々の猫の表情を上手く捉えている。
そんな鍵谷の猫たちにに癒されてほしい。

愛知県生まれ
1995 年愛知県立芸術大学美術学部陶磁器卒業卒業制作名古屋テレビ買上げ
名古屋のギャラリーにて初個展開催 1999 年イタリアへ渡る
2000 年フィレンツェの美術学校にて教鞭をとる
2002 年東京世田谷の陶芸教室にて陶芸を教える
2020 年北海道札幌の陶芸教室にて陶芸を教える
2022 年シガラキ・シェア・スタジオにて制作
2025 年京都髙島屋美術工芸サロンにて個展

Kagiya Masami's love of cats has led her to use them as her subject matter. However, rather than depicting so-called beckoning cats or cute cats, she captures the everyday appearance of cats and incorporates them into her works. Cats are assertive creatures, and she is adept at capturing the happy, and sometimes slightly sad, expressions of cats.
We hope you will be soothed by Kagiya's cats.
