村田彩は数少ない練り込みの技法を駆使して造形物をつくる作家です。
動物にも植物にも見える有機的な生命体。
可愛い、キレイなどという言葉よりも毒々しさが際立つ。生きるためには毒も必要ということか。生命力を感じさせる村田の造形を感じていただければと思います。

Aya Murata is an artist who creates ceramic sculptures using a rare technique of “Nerikomi”. Her organic lifeforms look like both animals and plants. They stand out more for their poisonous nature than for their cuteness or beauty. Perhaps poison is also necessary to live.
I hope you can feel the vitality of Murata's sculptures.
